5G IPTV Setup Guide

Setting up 5G IPTV is the same basic process on almost every device: install an IPTV player app, add your login details, and your channels load automatically. This guide explains the steps in plain English, with device-specific notes so you can get watching quickly.

If you have not ordered yet, you can compare plans on the 5G IPTV pricing page or read the 5G IPTV overview first. Once your line is active, you will have received a username, password and server address – keep those handy because you will need them below.

Before You Start

Have these ready so the setup goes without a hitch:

  • An active 5G IPTV subscription with your login details.
  • A device that can run an IPTV player app (Smart TV, Android, iOS, Firestick, MAG or PC).
  • A stable internet connection – around 10 Mbps or more is recommended for HD.
  • A compatible IPTV player app installed on your device.

How to Set Up 5G IPTV (General Steps)

These four steps cover the setup on any device. The player app and menus may look slightly different, but the process is the same.

1

Install an IPTV player app

Install a player that supports Xtream Codes on your device. Popular options are IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate and XCIPTV. On Android and Smart TV you can usually find these in the app store; on Firestick you may need to sideload them.

2

Open the player and choose Xtream Codes

Launch the app and look for the Xtream Codes or Add Playlist option. This is the login method that 5G IPTV uses, so choose it rather than M3U if both are offered.

3

Enter your 5G IPTV login details

Type in the server URL, username and password that were sent to you when your line was activated. Take care with capitals and symbols, as these are case-sensitive.

4

Load your channels and start watching

Once the login is accepted, the app pulls your channel list automatically. Give it a minute to load, then open any live channel to confirm the picture and sound are working.

Tip: Save your username, password and server address somewhere safe. You will need them again if you reinstall the player or set up a new device.

Device-Specific Setup Notes

5G IPTV works on all the devices below. The general steps above apply to each one, with a few small differences worth knowing:

Amazon Fire TV Stick

You will need to turn on Apps from Unknown Sources and sideload a player. We cover this in detail in our 5G IPTV Firestick setup guide.

Android (Phone, Tablet & Box)

Install a player from the Google Play Store or sideload an APK. Android TV boxes work the same way as phones, just with a remote-friendly interface.

Smart TV

Use a player available in your TV's app store, or sideload one if your TV allows it. Samsung, LG and Android TVs are all supported.

iOS (iPhone & iPad)

Install a compatible IPTV app from the App Store and enter your Xtream Codes login. The setup is the same as on other devices.

MAG & STB Boxes

MAG boxes use a portal address instead of a player app. Enter your server/portal URL in the box settings to connect.

PC & Mac

Use a desktop IPTV player that supports Xtream Codes, or a media player that can load an M3U playlist from your subscription.

Choosing an IPTV Player

You are not locked into one app. Any player that supports Xtream Codes will work with 5G IPTV, so the choice is about what feels best on your device:

  • IPTV Smarters Pro – beginner-friendly and available on most platforms.
  • TiviMate – a clean, TV-friendly interface with good channel group management.
  • XCIPTV – simple and reliable for live TV, movies and series.

Try one and switch if it does not suit you. The important thing is that the app supports Xtream Codes, which is how 5G IPTV lines are added.

Common Setup Problems & Fixes

Login not accepted

Re-enter your username and password carefully – they are case-sensitive. If it still fails, your line may have expired or reached its device limit. Contact support and we will check it for you.

Channels not loading

Make sure your subscription is active and you are online, then refresh the playlist inside the app. If only one or two channels fail, it is usually a temporary issue on that channel.

Buffering or freezing

Buffering is usually a network issue. Move closer to your router, close background apps, and check your speed is above 10 Mbps. Restarting the device often helps too.
